I know that raging on NNTG is the “Thing” these days, but I have to say that tonight’s show wasn’t that bad. Sure Evans sucks, and the celebritiy in a Mini thing is just a huge power point presentation which I would have fast forwarded had I not watched it live. But the first segment (not going to spoil anything here) was good and the other thing where they travelled a bit and tested some cars (sort of) was entertaining. And that’s what I want from TG TO BE ENTERTAINED . As consumer advise it was useless, but for that we turn to other sources. And LeBlanc really isn’t that bad as a presenter. If you can ignore Evans, it is almost bearable. So, save the celebrity in whatever part, which is booooooooooring, it was somewhat decent sunday night telly. Just some light, car related, entertainment to watch before going back on the treadmill on Monday.

Man, Evans made me angry today but I will say that it was on the whole, an alright episode. Better than the first one at least.

I agree, i think it was better than the first one. The mini part was boring indeed, but it was too on old-new topgear.
Though I still think Evans is too shouty, he seems to have lessened it in the studio parts, I think they still record these in the week before the episode, like on old-new topgear, so he probably used the criticism for the better.

Didn’t like the bit in Extra Gear where Evans got all teary-eyed while driving a McLaren F1 slowly on the track. Felt way too much like a sympathy grab.

I'm willing to give it a try.

Pretty much agree, star in the whatever car dragged on and evans annoyed but it had real promise. Le blanc, jordan and button were great and the challenge was much more fun.

I think we’re getting used to it. Nice to hear Evans referring to the “shoutiness”!
Mind you I switched to Antiques Roadshow for the “stars you never heard of in rallycross cars” section which went on for about five times too long.
Le Blanc is rather better than Ginger too.
